Senior Technical Manager (Java, React)

We are seeking a highly experienced and dynamic Senior Technical Manager to lead our software development initiatives. This is a key leadership role for a seasoned professional who can combine deep technical expertise with strong management and strategic vision.

You will oversee high-performing development teams, drive architectural excellence, and ensure the delivery of robust, scalable, and innovative software solutions. The ideal candidate is hands-on when needed, with expertise in Java (Spring Boot) and React technologies.

About the Role

This role requires both technical depth and leadership capability. You will provide direction, mentorship, and oversight across multiple engineering projects, ensuring technical alignment, on-time delivery, and adherence to best practices in software architecture and development.

You will work closely with cross-functional teams to define requirements, guide technical design, and ensure our systems remain scalable, performant, and secure.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership: Provide strategic and hands-on leadership for projects built with Java (Spring/Spring Boot) and React.

• Team Management: Lead, mentor, and coach software engineers to maintain high technical standards and foster continuous learning.

• Project Delivery: Oversee the design, development, and deployment of high-quality software solutions.

• Architecture & Code Quality: Review and approve designs, architectures, and code to ensure best practices and long-term maintainability.

• Collaboration: Partner with product managers, business stakeholders, and QA teams to define requirements, priorities, and roadmaps.

• Scalability & Performance: Ensure all solutions are optimized for performance, scalability, and security.

• Risk Management: Identify potential technical risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies.

Technical Expertise

• Strong hands-on experience in Java, particularly with Spring and Spring Boot frameworks.

• Proficiency in React.js, JavaScript (ES6+), HTML5, and CSS3.

• Proven experience designing and integrating RESTful APIs.

• Solid understanding of AWS, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.

• Familiarity with microservices architecture, Docker, and Kubernetes.

Managerial & Professional

• Demonstrated experience leading and managing software development teams.

• Strong project management skills, including planning, tracking, and delivery.

• Experience communicating with stakeholders and senior management.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills for complex technical challenges.

• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of overall experience in software development.

• At least 5+ years of hands-on experience with Java and React.

• Minimum 3 years in a technical leadership or management role.

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

• Certifications in Java, React, or Cloud Platforms are an advantage.
