Senior React Native Engineer

We are looking for a Senior React Native Engineer to join our mobile team and help build and optimize an application used by millions worldwide—delivering experiences as seamless and engaging as TikTok, but for premium entertainment.

Key Responsibilities

Mobile Application Development

• Design, develop, and optimize a high-performance React Native application for both iOS and Android platforms.

Video Experience & Performance

• Build scalable, video-centric features including content feeds, streaming playback, subtitles, and custom video player behavior.

• Ensure smooth playback, fast startup times, and reliable performance across devices and network conditions.

UI/UX Implementation

• Implement advanced, mobile-first user flows optimized for vertical video and high-engagement, TikTok-style interactions.

• Develop gesture-driven navigation and rich animations to enhance immersion.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work closely with backend, AI, and product teams to deliver high-impact features and iterate quickly.

Quality & Reliability

• Maintain high standards for code quality, performance, and stability through profiling, testing, and optimization.

Technical Expertise

React Native Internals

• Deep hands-on experience with the React Native rendering pipeline, bridge vs. JSI, Hermes, and Fabric architecture.

Performance Profiling & Optimization

• Strong proficiency with Flipper, Xcode Instruments, and Android Profiler.

• Advanced knowledge of reducing re-renders, JS thread contention, memory leaks, and improving startup and runtime performance.

High-Performance UI & Animation

• Expertise in video-first UX patterns, gesture-driven interactions, and complex animations using Reanimated and Gesture Handler.

Streaming & Networking

• Experience with adaptive streaming technologies (HLS/DASH), buffering strategies, lifecycle handling, and memory management.

• Strong understanding of resilient networking strategies for mobile environments.

Native Platform Integration

• Ability to build and maintain custom native modules using Swift/Objective-C and Kotlin/Java.

• Experience integrating complex third-party SDKs.

Requirements

Experience

• 5+ years of professional mobile development experience.

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with React Native.

Product Background

• Proven track record working on high-scale B2C products such as consumer apps, gaming, streaming, or e-learning platforms.

Domain Expertise

• Strong experience building mobile streaming experiences or social/video-based user interfaces.

Nice to Have

• Experience with subscription-based, ad-supported, or virtual currency monetization models.

• Exposure to recommendation systems, personalization engines, or content pipelines.

• Experience building products from the ground up in fast-paced, startup environments.
