Senior Frontend Team Lead

We are seeking a Senior Frontend Team Lead to combine expert-level engineering with strategic technical leadership. You will drive the technical direction for our confidential computing platform, delivering high-quality, performant, and accessible interfaces. This role leads a dedicated frontend squad, mentoring engineers, defining standards, and shaping the future of modern web development within our organization.

Core Profile

• Experience: 7–10+ years of professional frontend development, with at least 2–3+ years in a lead or tech lead capacity.

• Education: BS/MS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Technology Stack (2025/2026)

• Languages: TypeScript and modern JavaScript (ES2024+).

• Frameworks: React 19+ (including RSC, Server Actions, React Compiler, Suspense), Next.js 14+, TanStack Start, or Remix.

• Build & Linting: Vite, Turbopack, Rust-based tooling (Rolldown, Oxc, SWC), Biome for linting.

• Styling & UI: Tailwind CSS, shadcn/ui, modern CSS (Container Queries, View Transitions), Storybook 8+.

• Data & State: TanStack Query, Zustand or Jotai; REST, GraphQL, tRPC, WebSockets.

• Testing: Vitest/Jest, Playwright (including AI-assisted testing), Testing Library, MSW.

Key Responsibilities

• Squad Leadership: Lead a frontend squad of 2–6 engineers, managing planning, sprints, and technical decisions.

• Mentorship: Conduct code reviews, mentor engineers, and create personalized growth plans.

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product, Design, Backend, and DevOps teams to deliver robust UI solutions.

• Technical Excellence: Set coding standards, testing strategies, and CI/CD quality gates.

• Advanced Patterns: Implement server/client boundaries, streaming SSR, micro-frontends, and edge rendering.

• Optimization & Compliance: Improve performance via Core Web Vitals and ensure accessibility (WCAG 2.2 AA, EAA, EN 301 549).

• Security: Implement secure authentication patterns and safeguard against XSS, CSRF, and other vulnerabilities.

• AI Integration: Utilize AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot or Cursor to accelerate workflows.

State-of-the-Art Expectations

• Modern Rendering: SSR/SSG/ISR, partial hydration, islands architecture.

• Complex Systems: Manage micro-frontends (Module Federation), modular monolith UIs, and design systems.

• Emerging Tech: Edge functions, WebAssembly, PWA patterns, and fine-grained reactivity/signals.

Nice-to-Have

• Experience in confidential computing or security-focused platforms.

• Background in enterprise or government sector projects.

• Familiarity with monorepo tooling (Nx, Turborepo).

• Backend familiarity (Node.js, Go) or cloud platforms (OpenStack, Kubernetes).
