Senior Backend Developer

We are seeking an experienced Senior Backend Developer to join our product engineering team. In this role, you will play a key part in scaling and evolving our flagship legal technology platform, ProVision, which streamlines complex legal workflows for global law firms and fund managers.

This is a hands-on engineering position focused on backend development — ideal for someone who thrives in technical problem-solving, system architecture, and delivering secure, high-performance software in a modern B2B SaaS environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Backend Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable backend services using Python/Django 4.2.

• Architecture & Design: Contribute to system architecture and technical design, ensuring maintainability, performance, and security.

• API & Integration: Build and maintain robust REST APIs for seamless communication with frontend systems (React/TypeScript) and third-party services.

• Data Management: Work extensively with PostgreSQL, Redis, and Elasticsearch/OpenSearch for high-performance data storage and retrieval.

• Quality & Testing: Write clean, maintainable, and testable code; perform code reviews and ensure adherence to best practices.

• DevOps & Cloud: Collaborate with DevOps engineers to deploy, monitor, and scale applications within AWS, using services such as ECS and Lambda.

Essential Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 4 years of professional experience as a Backend or Full Stack Developer in a B2B SaaS environment.

• Core Skills: Expert-level proficiency in Python (3.10+) and Django.

• Data Stores: Strong practical experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, and Elasticsearch/OpenSearch.

• Cloud & DevOps: Proven experience deploying and maintaining systems in AWS, particularly using ECS or Lambda.

• Quality & CI/CD: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and version control (Git).

• Industry Background: Experience in LegalTech, FinTech, or another regulated B2B SaaS industry is highly desirable.
