Senior Backend Engineer

We are seeking two experienced and passionate Senior Software Engineers to join our fast-growing team. In this role, you will be instrumental in constructing innovative apps, integrating valuable features, and providing essential support for our clients. As a remote team member, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects and contribute to our success.

What You’ll Do:

• Develop consumer-facing apps using Vanilla JavaScript, React, PHP, Laravel, MySQL, HTML, CSS, and Sass.
• Collaborate on a clean and tested codebase, supporting multiple UI products.
• Utilize a TDD approach in the backend development process.
• Troubleshoot and debug minified JavaScript code in the browser.
• Engage with React and Shopify Polaris for client admin tools.
• Apply expertise in Laravel (or a similar framework), PHP 8, JavaScript, and MySQL.
• Use automated tests to ensure software quality and enhance development speed.
• Research, plan, and execute solutions independently.
• Work collaboratively with an entrepreneurial mindset, contributing to our ongoing success.

What We’re Looking For:

• 5+ years of experience as a senior engineer.
• Expertise in Laravel, PHP 8, JavaScript, and MySQL.
• Strong debugging skills and attention to detail.
• Proficiency in automated testing for software quality.
• Experience with at least one modern UI framework: React, Vue, Angular.
• Knowledge of AWS is a plus.
• Familiarity with the Shopify API or developing Shopify themes/apps is advantageous.
• Ability to troubleshoot minified JavaScript code in the browser.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Availability to work a schedule of 10 AM to 7 PM CET, with flexibility during high-demand seasons.
