About the Role

We’re looking for a Lead UX Designer to define and elevate the user experience across our AI platform, with a particular focus on designing intuitive, trustworthy AI interactions.

Reporting to the Director of AI Products, you’ll partner closely with Product and Engineering to transform complex product challenges into elegant, user-centred experiences. This is a senior individual contributor role that combines hands-on design leadership with mentorship, helping raise the design standard across the organisation without formal people management responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Set and maintain a high standard for product design across the platform, ensuring exceptional visual design, interaction quality, and consistency.
• Design intuitive user experiences for AI-powered and agentic systems, including streaming responses, confidence indicators, source attribution, uncertainty handling, and human-in-the-loop workflows.
• Simplify complex technical capabilities into intuitive experiences for business users.
• Build, evolve, and maintain a scalable design system that improves consistency and accelerates product development.
• Conduct user research, usability testing, and customer interviews to inform design decisions.
• Partner closely with Product Managers and Frontend Engineers from discovery through implementation and launch.
• Mentor fellow designers through design reviews, constructive feedback, and leading by example.
• Champion AI-native design workflows, leveraging AI tools throughout research, ideation, prototyping, and design exploration.

What We’re Looking For

• Extensive experience as a Senior or Lead Product Designer with a portfolio demonstrating exceptional product design craftsmanship.
• Strong visual design skills with a deep understanding of layout, typography, interaction design, motion, and user experience principles.
• Excellent product thinking, with the ability to simplify complexity and design solutions that deliver measurable business value.
• Experience designing complex enterprise, SaaS, or data-intensive products.
• Proven experience building, scaling, or significantly evolving design systems.
• A highly collaborative approach, working closely with Product and Engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle.
• Daily use of AI tools within your design workflow to accelerate research, ideation, prototyping, and execution.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to clearly explain design decisions and trade-offs to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Nice to Have

• Experience designing AI-powered products, copilots, agentic systems, retrieval experiences, source attribution, or knowledge graph interfaces.
• Experience creating interactive prototypes using code, Figma, or modern AI-powered design tools.
• Experience mentoring designers and influencing design direction without formal management responsibilities.
• Familiarity with enterprise SaaS requirements such as permissions, auditability, governance, and operational workflows.
