Associate Frontend Team Lead

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Associate Frontend Team Lead to drive the development of modern, scalable web applications within an AI-native enterprise technology environment. In this role, you will combine hands-on engineering with technical leadership, guiding frontend architecture, mentoring engineers, and ensuring the delivery of performant, maintainable user interfaces.

Key Responsibilities

Frontend Leadership & Mentorship

• Lead and mentor a team of frontend engineers, fostering engineering excellence and continuous improvement

• Conduct code reviews, provide technical guidance, and support developer growth

• Promote best practices in frontend architecture, maintainability, and scalability

Frontend Architecture & System Design

• Define and enforce frontend architecture standards, patterns, and state management strategies

• Ensure systems are scalable, modular, and aligned with long-term platform evolution

• Evaluate and introduce modern tools, libraries, and frameworks to improve engineering velocity

Application Development

• Design and build high-performance, responsive, and accessible web applications

• Maintain and improve existing frontend systems with a focus on reliability and performance

• Collaborate closely with backend, product, and design teams to deliver seamless user experiences

Design Systems & UI Engineering

• Contribute to and scale reusable component libraries and design systems

• Ensure consistency, usability, and maintainability across frontend applications

• Drive adoption of modern UI engineering standards and accessibility best practices

Quality, Testing & Performance

• Establish strong testing practices using modern frontend testing frameworks

• Maintain CI/CD pipelines and ensure production readiness of frontend systems

• Optimize applications for performance, scalability, and cross-browser compatibility

Requirements

Experience & Leadership

• 5+ years of professional frontend development experience using JavaScript and TypeScript

• 3+ years of hands-on experience building production applications with React

• Proven experience mentoring engineers or leading frontend initiatives

Technical Expertise

• Strong expertise in React, including Hooks, Context API, and modern state management patterns

• Deep understanding of frontend architecture, design patterns, and component-driven development

• Solid knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, responsive design, and modern UI engineering principles

Engineering Practices

• Experience with frontend testing frameworks such as Jest and React Testing Library

• Familiarity with modern build tools such as Vite or Webpack

• Strong understanding of clean code, maintainability, and scalable system design

Collaboration & Ownership

• Ability to work cross-functionally with product, design, and backend teams

• Strong problem-solving skills and ownership mindset

• Comfortable operating in fast-moving, high-growth environments

Nice to Have

• Experience with Next.js or similar SSR/SSG frameworks

• Familiarity with accessibility standards such as WCAG

• Experience with performance profiling and optimization tools
