Middle Automation QA Engineer

Overview

We are looking for a highly motivated Middle Automation QA Engineer to join a leading UK-based company specializing in B2B legal technology. The platform streamlines complex legal workflows, enabling law firms to accelerate drafting, negotiation, and compliance at scale.

This is a long-term, full-time position (160h/month) offered as a direct contract. If you enjoy working in a fully remote environment with a strong, global QA team and minimal bureaucracy, we’d love to hear from you.

The Role

As part of an Agile Scrum team, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality of a modern web application. You will design, build, and maintain stable automated test frameworks while collaborating closely with Developers, Manual QAs, Product Managers, and DevOps Engineers.

Key Responsibilities

• UI & API Testing: Develop and maintain automated UI tests using Playwright and expand API test coverage
• Schema & Contract Testing: Write schema validation and contract tests to ensure system integrity
• CI/CD Integration: Integrate automated tests into GitHub Actions pipelines
• Quality Optimization: Improve automation reliability, analyze failures, and reduce flaky tests
• Documentation: Maintain clear documentation, bug reports, and test cases in English

Your Profile

• Experience: 1+ years as an Automation QA Engineer
• Technical Skills: Strong experience with Python test automation and modern QA practices
• Frameworks: Proficiency in Playwright and pytest
• Communication: English level B1+ for documentation and teamwork
• Mindset: Focus on quality, reliability, and continuous improvement; proactive and communicative

Nice to Have

• Experience with AWS or other cloud environments
• Familiarity with security or performance testing tools
