-
AI Transition: Lead the adoption of AI-driven development workflows, operationalizing tools such as Cursor and Claude Code to accelerate engineering velocity.
-
Team Health & Growth: Manage hiring, performance reviews, career development, and navigate complex conversations while aligning personal growth with company goals.
-
Engineering Metrics: Use data to diagnose team health, optimize productivity, and drive continuous improvement.
-
Collaboration & Culture: Promote a remote-first, async-friendly environment where teams set their own OKRs and work with autonomy.
How We Work
-
Async-First Collaboration: Slack threads and async communication to reduce unnecessary meetings.
-
Rapid Shipping: Trunk-based commits, same-day peer reviews, and one-click GitLab deployments with feature flags.
-
AI Integration: Stipends for AI tools, with AI assistants used for summaries, code analysis, and workflow acceleration.
-
Autonomy: Teams own quarterly objectives and the path to achieve them.
Qualifications Required:
-
Proven experience managing fully remote engineering teams (2+ teams, 10+ engineers).
-
Strong background in product-driven SaaS development.
-
Solid technical foundation as an ex-engineer, with an understanding of architecture and infrastructure trade-offs.
-
Exceptional people management skills, including hiring, feedback, and performance reviews.
-
Self-directed, high-agency mindset focused on closing loops and delivering impact.
-
Familiarity with modern AI development tools (e.g., Cursor, Windsurf).
-
Ability to support 8:00–10:00 AM Pacific Time overlap ~3 days per week.
Nice to Have:
-
Hands-on experience deploying AI-assisted coding practices and quality workflows.
-
Experience using engineering performance metrics (Flow/DORA).
-
Background in small-to-medium-sized companies with high ownership and low bureaucracy.
Benefits
-
Work from Anywhere: Fully remote with a global team spanning multiple continents.
-
Flexible Schedule: Structure your workday around life and peak productivity.
