Python Team Leader

We are a rapidly growing AI company building conversational voice-based systems that automate order taking in restaurant drive-thrus. Our technology helps restaurants increase speed, reduce errors, and improve both staff and guest experiences. We are seeking a highly skilled Python Team Leader to join our fully remote team.

About the Role & Tech Stack

Our entire backend is built in Python, runs in the cloud on Kubernetes, and is dedicated to handling real-time audio and connecting with numerous third-party systems. You’ll be part of a team focused on building high-impact features and systems for rapid scale.

Key Responsibilities

• Hands-on Coding: Write and maintain backend Python code daily.

• Architecture & Integration: Develop robust backend architecture and handle complex integrations:

  • Connect with POS systems and digital menu boards.

  • Build data pipelines / ETL to process menus.

  • Support and improve third-party integrations

• Leadership & Mentorship: Guide and mentor team members as the team grows, evolving into a dedicated team leader.

• Delivery: Plan and deliver projects, and write comprehensive documentation.

• Quality: Debug and solve customer issues.

Essential Qualifications

• Experience: 5+ years of Python experience.

• Leadership: 2+ years of experience as a Team Leader or demonstrated leadership skills.

• Backend Expertise: Strong backend and architecture skills , with projects deployed in production.

• Concurrency: Experience with Async IO and knowledge of concurrency (bonus).

• DevOps & Cloud: Knowledge of CI/CD, cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), Linux, Docker, and Kubernetes.

• Data: Experience with data pipelines / ETL.

• Education: BSc in Software Development or similar experience.

• Secondary Stack (Basic): At least basic knowledge of TypeScript and React.
