We are recruiting to a legal-tech company building innovative B2B solutions for law firms and fund managers. Its flagship platform, ProVision, helps legal teams streamline workflows involved in raising private investment funds, enabling faster drafting, negotiation, and compliance processes.

The platform operates on a single-tenant SaaS architecture hosted on AWS across multiple regions and leverages a modern technology stack including Python, Django, React, TypeScript, PostgreSQL, Redis, Elasticsearch/OpenSearch, AWS Lambda, ECS, and S3.

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Back-End Developer to help design, build, and scale the services that power ProVision. In this role, you will be responsible for developing robust APIs, optimizing data models, and ensuring the reliability, security, and scalability of backend systems used by enterprise clients worldwide.

You will collaborate closely with Frontend Developers, QA Engineers, and DevOps teams while contributing to architectural decisions and performance improvements across the platform.

Your Responsibilities

• Design and develop RESTful APIs using Python 3.10+, Django 4.x, and Django REST Framework.
• Create and optimize scalable data models, queries, and integrations with PostgreSQL, Redis, and Elasticsearch/OpenSearch.
• Build and maintain asynchronous processes using Celery, AWS SQS, and AWS Lambda.
• Integrate AWS services such as S3, CloudFront, ECS, SNS/SQS, and RDS into application workflows.
• Participate in code reviews and maintain high standards for code quality, security, and documentation.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to improve CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure automation.
• Contribute to architecture planning, system scalability, and performance optimization initiatives.

Must-Have Requirements

• Commercial experience as a Back-End Developer or Full-Stack Developer in a SaaS environment.
• Strong expertise in Python 3.10+ and Django 4.x / Django REST Framework.
• Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, Redis, and/or Elasticsearch/OpenSearch.
• Familiarity with Celery and AWS services such as ECS, Lambda, S3, SNS/SQS, and RDS.
• Experience working with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving, debugging, and performance optimization skills.

Nice-to-Have Requirements

• Experience with .NET.
• Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Terragrunt.
• Experience with AWS developer tooling and cloud-native architectures.
• Understanding of authentication frameworks, role-based access control, and single-tenant architecture patterns.
• Experience with text and document processing libraries.
• Familiarity with testing frameworks and developer tooling such as pytest, Ruff, and pre-commit workflows.
