Tech Lead Developer

We are looking for a highly skilled, hands-on Tech Lead Developer (AI-Oriented / Agentic AI) to join a cross-functional AI unit focused on exploring, industrializing, and deploying agentic AI solutions across enterprise projects. In this role, you will provide technical leadership on complex initiatives, establish robust software engineering standards, and integrate AI capabilities—including Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), agentic workflows, inference APIs, and Model Context Protocol (MCP)—to accelerate development and deliver measurable business value.

Role Context and Purpose

You will work within dedicated cross-functional squads comprising team leads, Product Owners, and Engineers, supporting a diverse portfolio of enterprise projects through consulting and technical enablement. Engagements typically last from a few weeks to several months, during which you will modernize existing codebases, design and implement agentic AI layers, mentor development teams, and ensure effective technical handover and knowledge transfer.

Key Responsibilities

• Technical Leadership and Architecture: Assess client codebases, define architectural standards, conduct code reviews, and promote engineering best practices across CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and Git workflows.
• Agentic AI Layer Design: Design, develop, and monitor agentic AI architectures, including prompt libraries, specialized sub-agents, tool-calling mechanisms, and Model Context Protocol (MCP) integrations.
• AI Capabilities Integration: Identify and implement relevant AI technologies in production environments, including RAG architectures, hybrid search, retrievers, chunking strategies, LLM APIs, Small Language Models (SLMs), and intelligent automation.
• Mentoring and Enablement: Support the professional development of engineers, Product Owners, and QA specialists through pair programming, technical workshops, code reviews, and hands-on mentoring.
• Reusable Assets and Knowledge Transfer: Create technical documentation, reference architectures, reusable code templates, and implementation guidelines to ensure long-term maintainability and knowledge continuity after each engagement.

Key Deliverables

• Production-Ready AI Integrations: Functional AI solutions deployed in client environments, including intelligent agents, RAG pipelines, automation workflows, and LLM API integrations.
• Technical Documentation: Clear architecture diagrams, implementation guides, engineering standards, and technical recommendations.
• Training and Enablement Materials: Practical learning resources, workshops, and technical mentoring sessions that strengthen AI and software engineering capabilities across teams.
• Reusable Components: Standardized code templates, reference implementations, and modular components that can be reused across projects and organizational units.

Required Profile and Experience

• Professional Experience: 7–15 years of commercial software development experience, with a proven track record of progressing into Tech Lead, Technical Lead, or Systems Architect roles.
• Software Engineering Expertise: Strong development skills in at least one modern technology stack, such as Python, TypeScript/Node.js, Go, Java, C/C++, combined with expertise in clean architecture, event-driven systems, microservices, and legacy modernization.
• Applied AI Expertise: Hands-on experience with agentic AI frameworks and technologies, such as LangChain, LlamaIndex, OpenAI and Anthropic APIs, RAG architectures, prompt and context engineering, SLMs, and model quantization.
• AI-Assisted Development: Practical experience with AI-powered coding tools such as Cursor, Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, or equivalent solutions.
• Architecture and Engineering Standards: Ability to establish scalable software architectures, improve development workflows, and balance technical quality with delivery speed and business requirements.
• Consulting Mindset: Ability to adapt quickly to new client environments, make informed technical trade-offs, and collaborate effectively with both technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Communication and Knowledge Transfer: Strong communication, mentoring, and documentation skills, with a focus on enabling teams to maintain and evolve solutions independently.
