iOS Software Engineer

About the Role

As an iOS Software Engineer, you will own the iOS client experience, shaping how AI feels, responds, and performs in users’ hands. This is not a thin integration role—you will build and maintain a production-grade iOS application where AI interactions are central to the product experience. Performance, reliability, and user trust are critical to everything you build.

Core Focus & Responsibilities

• Application Development: Build and maintain high-quality iOS applications using Swift and SwiftUI.
• AI Feature Integration: Integrate AI-powered features through backend APIs and ensure seamless interaction between the mobile client and AI services.
• AI UX Design: Design intuitive UX patterns for AI interactions, including loading states, streaming responses, retries, error handling, and fallbacks.
• Performance Optimization: Optimize application performance, memory usage, CPU consumption, and battery efficiency.
• User Feedback Loops: Capture and leverage user signals and feedback to support AI evaluation and continuous product iteration.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with backend and ML engineers on API design, system behavior, and end-to-end product functionality.
• Production Quality: Maintain high App Store standards, application stability, reliability, and overall production quality.

What We’re Looking For

• Core iOS Experience: 3+ years of professional iOS development experience using Swift, with a proven track record of shipping and maintaining production applications.
• AI Integration: Hands-on experience integrating AI-powered features into mobile applications.
• Concurrency & Performance: Strong understanding of async/await, concurrency, background tasks, and memory/CPU optimization.
• Resilience Mindset: Comfortable designing applications that account for latency, partial failures, network instability, and the non-deterministic nature of AI systems.
• AI UX Intuition: Strong understanding of AI UX patterns and the ability to design experiences that build user confidence and trust.

Nice to Have

• Experience with Core ML or exposure to on-device machine learning.
• Familiarity with feature flags and remote configuration systems.

• Dependency Management: Swift Package Manager (SPM)
• Databases: SQL / NoSQL
• On-Device ML: TensorFlow Lite for on-device inference
