Requirements:
We are seeking a skilled SQL Database Administrator to join our team for an exciting project in collaboration with Baltic Amadeus in the field of Logistics. This project offers a duration of 6 to 12 months, commencing as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities:
As a SQL Database Administrator with expertise in Axapta, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our database systems. Your primary responsibilities will include:
- **SQL Server Support:** Providing support for SQL servers spanning from version 2005 to 2022, ensuring their optimal performance and stability.
- **Axapta Expertise:** Managing Axapta based on SQL 2005, along with handling 2012 replicas from Axapta.
- **Database Restoration:** Performing database restoration from backups to test or development environments as needed.
- **Replica Management:** Adding additional tables to replicas during weekends and off-working hours.
- **Daily Monitoring:** Vigilantly monitoring the health of Axapta SQL databases, identifying and addressing issues such as big blocking queries and incorrect queries.
- **Additional Systems Support:** Optionally providing support for other systems, including “Bonus DB” 2019 SQL and Opentext 2019 SQL HA cluster.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Proven experience in SQL Database Administration, with proficiency in SQL server versions 2005 to 2022.
- Extensive expertise in managing Axapta databases, including 2012 replicas.
- A strong track record of successfully restoring SQL databases from backups.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, particularly in diagnosing and rectifying database issues
- Availability to work on weekends and outside regular working hours when necessary.
- Familiarity with other systems like “Bonus DB” 2019 SQL and Opentext 2019 SQL HA cluster (a bonus).
