Our Startup Hub is an integral component of the broader ecosystem, which encompasses Research Line for market assessment, a VC Fund that invests in promising startups, and our Startup Hub that catalyzes innovation. Our vision centers on providing talents with the right resources and tools to build extraordinary ventures. We measure success by the monthly engagement of talents, which we believe attracts partners, corporate clients, and investors.

Position Overview:

As the Head of Research, you will collaborate closely with the CEO to lead an independent think tank within the ecosystem. We are seeking individuals with a passion for economic development, entrepreneurship, and global relationships. In this role, you will guide research initiatives, manage a team, oversee publication processes, represent the think tank to partners and stakeholders, and contribute to impactful, original publications.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the intellectual content of the Think Tank, ensuring quality and relevance.
• Collaborate with Founding partners to recruit staff, fellows, contributors, and writers.
• Lead and manage the team, establishing efficient working processes.
• Budget for activities, seek partnerships and donors, and ensure financial sustainability.
• Represent the think tank in front of partners and stakeholders.
• Conduct research and compose articles for publication.
• Guide the publication review process, maintaining high standards.
• Oversee staff and fellows to produce insightful writings that contribute to knowledge.
• Conceptualize, proofread, and fact-check staff and fellow writings.
• Arrange webinars, public appearances, and events; write issue overviews.
• Edit letters, reports, proposals, marketing materials, press releases, and job announcements.

• MA/PhD in Economics, Sociology, Political Science, Public Policy, or related field. Doctoral degree preferred.
• Fluent in English and Russian languages.
• Professional experience and deep familiarity with Eastern European economic, political, and research agenda.
• Proficiency in relevant computer programs.
• Proactive attitude with an entrepreneurial mindset.
• Strong managerial skills: multitasking, prioritization, teamwork, attention to detail, and meeting deadlines.
• Analytical mindset coupled with creativity and data appreciation.
